Fashioning exemplary lip balms is a tricky process, as bees wax takes a long time to melt (best results come from slow melting) but it also cools extremely rapidly. Getting the ‘pour’ just right takes skill and should not be done with any distractions. The fine art of designing body care products requires a high degree of science. Oola Body Care has developed signature recipes to formulate a thoroughly tested finished line.
Lovely ingredients make for lovely balms.
All products are designed and created by Oola Body Care in the Comox Valley, on Vancouver Island, Canada.
Oil of Sweet Almond – Excellent for cosmetics as it is very rich in potassium, zinc, minerals, proteins and good fat.
Oil of Avocado – Filled with heart-healthy oleic acid (an omega-9 fatty acid). High in antioxidant levels. Enhances absorption of neighbour nutrients (other ingredients).
Beeswax – Protects the lips against irritants while still allowing the skin to breathe. Also an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiviral.
Oil of Vitamin E – Blocks free radicals from skin. Great moisturizer and grants a long shelf life.
Shea Butter – Due to its cinnamic acid and other natural properties, shea butter is an anti-inflammatory. It is a collagen booster and aides in the repair skin from sun and weather damage.
Cocoa Butter – The emollient properties of cocoa butter act as a protective barrier by supplying and retaining moisture in the lips. Cocoa butter also contains antioxidant vitamins A, C and E.
Chocolate/Orange lip balm contains and is coloured by and with organic dark Belgium chocolate.
